Meet Kira and Chris!
These absolute lovelies got married Saturday 8th August this year. It was such a magical day and my first wedding since lockdown!
The day started very relaxed at the spectacular Titanic hotel on the Liverpool Docks. HUGE victorian factory windows to create the most romantic lighting and bare brick walls to add that industrial edge. With a baby pink and navy blue colour palette, these two rocked their way to the alter!
From the Care Bears on her Iron Fist shoes, to the most adorable pink baby buttons that adorned her bespoke dress from Legend Bridal Designs, Kira's style was 100% Kira! Even down to her protractor and compass earrings to symbolise Chris and her being maths teachers and meeting during their time at uni.
Chris wore a stunning navy blue suit and waist coat, and with his love of world war history, spruced up his outfit with spitfire cufflinks.
After having to scale down their special day due to Covid, they decided to meet before the ceremony and travel together to St Georges Hall. I had them meet on the dark and dramatic stairway. Chris's reaction to Kira was so flippin' sweet, and they both looked absolutly incredible!
Their ceremony at St Georges Hall was the first that weekend to be a mask wearing one. Seeing the 8 guests spread out around the room, wearing customised "Smiling for Kira and Chris" masks was a little strange. At the same time it was the loveliest service and very intimate. It was such an eventful Satuerday, as when we emerged to get some group shots at the front of thsi spectacular building, we were greated by a mass 'ani-mask' protst. My opinion aside, Kira and Chris suggested posing with their wedding masks and taking shots of them protesting the protest. (Place apropriate 'smug' emoji here! Hehe)
After our political demonstration, we boarded the coolest, vintage, open top double decker bus you've ever seen! OH, WOW! What a journey we had in this beast. There were beeping horns from passing traffic, cheers of joy and congratulations frompeople on the streets, and when squeezing past a fellow open top bus, the nrewlt weds got the biggest cheer and round of applause! Such an amazing uplifting experience! We all stopped off at the Three Graces for a VERY brief photo op and ice-cream and back on the bus to the amazing Paul Curtis grafitti wings. (FINALLY! I get a go!) The guys from Hollywood Cars who drove the bus and served the presseco were absolutly fabulous! They stopped 3 or 4 times for us to get the perfect shot! Thank you so much!
After our mini tour bus adventure, we headed back to Kira and Chris's house for the cutest back garden bash. Live acusitic singer and a buffet spread like no other! Laid back relaxed and soooooo much fun.
Thank you to you both for having me photograph your very special day. I have the most wonderful time and I can't wish you both enough love and happiness.
