Exiting the school gates, I was a total enigma to myself with no idea of who I was or what I wanted to do. The only thing I was ever certain about, was my creative pulse. After studying Fine Art and Fashion and Textiles… a camera landed in my hands, and BOOM! I found it. The camera was the missing piece of the puzzle I'd been searching for all this time. Fast forward, I sashayed through a Foundation Degree to snag a Ba(Hons) Degree in Photography and the rest is history.

I immersed myself into a world of fine art and fashion photography. My resulting work was a artistic potion consisting of my dreams, my emotions, my obsession with nature and a dash of surrealism. I am so grateful for the creative journey I have been on, it has allowed me to discover my love of spinning tales, especially stories that keep the viewer guessing! You know, things aren't always what they seem. Grabbing a handful of the subconscious and mixing it up with reality can unleash a touch of magic!

Expanding my horizons

Vicky Dubois alternative wedding photographer uk

The next chapter of my journey was all about growth. Navigating academia forged my resilience, sculpting a thick skin as art is subjective. Now, ever-evolving, I thrive on refining my skills through constant experimentation, trial and error.

I didn’t arrive at wedding and fashion photography right away, post-graduation I enjoyed a stint of snapping family portraits for four year. My persona had so much fun, but my creativity was in standby mode as I had so much more to give — which prompted me to make a change.

A very important character in my current chapter, is my Photography Business Mentor. Damien is my Yoda, guiding me to offer top-notch service and experiences.

Approaching 30, I dreamt of being my own boss. I made that dream a reality and now I’m crafting top-tier imagery, working with fabulous humans and listening to Alt 00s on Spotify! No regrets and I’m excited to see what the future brings.
